Types of Plastic
Plastics are generally classified in to two categories Thermal Plastics and Thermal Set Plastics.
Thermal Plastics can be remelted multiple times and are then generally repairable.
Thermal Set Plastics are formed by a chemical reaction that takes place when heated with the original molding, these plastics will not remelt with heat and just burn. Most of these are not repairable with plastic welding but there are a few exceptions that can be repaired with our specialist equipment.
